Subsystem of medical management

Introduction

Subsystem of medical management is a software solution for operating of the medical institutions. Programs backup management of bath spa, policlinics, hospitals, health centres, and other medical institutions.

Complete solution of the project implies monitoring of the patitent from the moment of his arrival for medical treatment, his accomodation, checkup, monitoring of his treatment - therapy, till his discharge. At each of these segments, patient's data are merely being presumed and supplemented on various departments.

Transparency of the patient's data inside of the spa contributes to quick insight into information to every participant in the medical treatment (doctors, therapists, nurses, etc.), that makes the process of making decisions much easier and faster.

Ledger management and other duties of medical technicians

This is the primordial step in treatment of a patient. If we are talking about institutions with great influx of patients, it is necessary to form waiting lists based on various types of priorities. Accomodation of the patients into rooms is also a process that has its cycle and that can be significant for big institutions. It is necessary to take care about the occupancy of the beds in rooms, patients' gender, and the time spent at the institution. For this, there is a set of programs for patient's application for treatment and his notification about the time he should come in for treatment that are completely automatic.

When the patient is addmitted in the institution, his treatment begins. Medical technicians (nurses) first have to open a medical chart for the patient where they would enter information about him. If the patient has already been there for a treatment, his data are being recorded automatically. Apart from the administrative part for medical technicians (nurses), there are programs for the patient's discharge, as well as for monitoring prescripted therapies.

When opening a chart, medical technicians can scan patient's laboratory analisis results and X-rays.

Data about a patient that has been admitted once, stay in the base, so it is possible to monitor the whole history of his disease (or, all of his illnesses, or all of his opened charts on various departments).

After the patient has been admitted, everyone (doctors and other medical staff) can access that data about every patient based on different criteria (eg. by name, number of social security, diagnosis, date of addmitance, etc) on their computers.

Duties of the doctor - specialist

Programs for monitoring patients at doctor's include examining the patients charts based on ambulances and schedule of arrivals. Based on the list, patients are being sent to certain doctors or into the ambulance. Into the diagnosis of a patient, it is possible to enter Descriptive data from the examination (prescribed diagnosis, personal case history, family case history, objective medical findings, clinical and neurological examinations, patient's monitoring during the treatment, etc.). Doctors determinenumber and extent of examination description. When entering the data, one uses ready made texts (eg. Patient arrived ....................... date for examination with pains .................... etc.) that the doctors formulate themseleves, or use internation disease classification. At the therapeutic part, it is possible to enter therapies characteristic for bath treatment (eg. number of pearl baths, etc.) with desription of therapy, number of treatments, or medicament (drugs) therapy with theirs quantities, and the period of taking the drug.

Discharge list is being formed automatically when the patient is being discharged from the treatment. With every new treatment, doctor - specialist has the possibility of examining previousl diagnosis and prescribed therapies, no matter which doctor prescribed it, that enables him to quickly study the complete clinic image of a patient. Specifically for bath treatment (as well as for hospital treatment), is that it is possible to monitor the execution of prescribed therapies, as well as automatic forming of the daily list of therapies for patients.

Duties of material accountancy and source data

Programs for running material accountancy enable you to monitor purchase, storing and disburse of sanitary materials of different kinds (from various bath paraphernalia to drugs, etc.). Based on materials requisition (paraphernalia, drugs), materials directory stores are being formed for each department based on which it is possible to get accurate information about materials (drugs) consumption at every department. Based on these data, it is possible to form the lists of necessary materials (drugs), the quantity of which is below the prescribed minimum, of consumption, of suppliers, and other types of lists characteristic for storehouse. As a part of source data, there are various codes that enable quick and easy adjustment of this application to various health institutions, as well as standard codes (diagnosis code, insurance category, etc.).

 

Inclusion into financial accountancy

There are two ways of forming financial warrants. There are financial warrants that are issued when the patient is discharged, depending on the type of patient (sent to medical treatment at the cost of health insurance, private medical treatment, at the company's cost), and there are financial warrants issued at the reception desk (payment of other services, restaurant services, etc.).

For each service, financial paragraphs for insurance companies, patients, firms, are automatically formed. For the services or goods sold in a restaurant or a shop for cash, financial items are accounted on the IS firm's home number. For each item that has participated in the calculation of prices at the input or output of goods, financial paragraphs are automatically formed. Automatic forming of financial accountancy paragraphs eliminates the reentering of data in financial accountancy. Automatic forming of paragraphs and their balancing is enabled by forming balance models that are entered when the project starts, when the balance plan changes, or when the new kind of job is introduced.

From the subsystem of medical management it is possible to obtain a whole set of different inquiries, reports, and graphs. Reports are grouped according to operation units:

Waiting list reports, telex notifications, request lists, therapy lists, etc. .

General reports

Statistics reports of patients according to insurance, insurance companies, places, doctors, disease categories.

Doctors-specialist reports

Doctors reports, discharge list, therapy lists, rewiev graphs for each doctor, according to the number of patients, types of insurance, etc.

Financial reports

Finance reports, receipts, invoices, cards, general legend reports, registers, etc
